The truffle grows underground in a depth between 10 and 20 cm in symbiosis with its host plant. Collectors therefore usually look for truffles with truffle dogs or truffle pigs. The truffles we need are then dried and subjected to a quality control. In Germany we then process part of the slices into granulate and powder.
